Unexpected Splashes of Colour

The bride in all white is an image that we all have when it comes to weddings, but why not spice things up with a bit of colour?

Coloured shoes are a fun and unexpected way to throw a splash of colour into your wedding wardrobe. I love bold colours like red and green, but you could wear whatever your wedding colour is. This will also make for some fun photography:

Another one of my favourite ideas for adding colour to your wedding dress is adding a sash or choosing a gown with a colour option.

Those are just a few of my favourite trends-I would love to hear about your favourites!!!

Harnessing Your Inspiration

One of my favourite ways to see a bride's ideas is by using an inspiration board. This can be done a number of ways, however I prefer to use Mosaic Maker. Another idea is for brides to cut out pictures from magazines and put them together. I used Mosaic Maker to create this inspiration board in about 5 minutes.

As a wedding planner, I suggest that every bride create a few inspiration boards in order to get their ideas on paper. It helps me to see their vision rather than to just hear about it. Not to mention, they are fun to make and can be addictive. All of you brides out there, try making one and see how it helps you hone in on what you want and what you don't want for your big day.
